READY
FOR A BETTER NIGHT'S SLEEP?

Did you know that sleep apnea

is one of the leading causes of a poor night's sleep?

WHAT IS SLEEP APNEA?

Sleep apnea is a disorder characterized by repeated episodes of blocked breathing during sleep. Reduced oxygen to your brain and body prevent proper healing and functioning. The most common type of Sleep Apnea is Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). This occurs when your muscles relax during sleep, allowing soft tissues or your tongue to fall back and block your airway. This causes you to stop breathing for anywhere from a few seconds to a minute at a time. These breathing blocks are followed by awakenings that disturb your sleep because your brain is waking you up just enough to stay alive. The awakenings are sometimes so subtle you don’t realize why you can't seem to get a good nights sleep.

HOW DOES IT AFFECT MY HEALTH?

Your body needs good quality sleep for it to fully recharge at night. If not addressed, Sleep Apnea can lead to a number of medical issues that affect your heart, brain, lungs, kidneys, jaw joints, mouth, as well as your reproductive, digestive and immune systems.
